My family and I (6 adults) have just returned from a fabulous week at Villa Romee.
The villa is fantastic (the pictures don’t do it justice!) and Esther and Steven are wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived, with a warm and personal greeting from Esther, and very welcome cold drinks, to the moment we sadly had to leave, our hosts were always at hand if we needed any information but not at all intrusive :-).
The villa itself is beautiful with amazing views over Elounda, the sea and the mountains. The outside space is fantastic – a lovely pool with sunbeds, a ‘chill’ space with comfortable sofas and two dining areas to choose from – all with those spectacular views!
In my opinion, you need a car to make the most of Crete (and the villa is 8-10 minutes outside Elounda) but be prepared for some narrow mountain roads and ‘interesting’ driving experiences.
I thoroughly recommend Villa Romee and wish Esther and Steven every success for the season ahead.
